About the Meeting
The New Beginnings AA Meeting focuses on the foundations of the
Alcoholics Anonymous program. It welcomes newcomers, people returning
after a relapse, and anyone who would like to revisit Steps 1–3.
This meeting is also a great opportunity for members interested in
participating in 12 Step work.
Chairing The Meeting
Chairpersons should have at least one year of continuous sobriety, experience chairing AA meetings, and familiarity with the Big Book and the first three Steps. Each chairperson commits to leading one month of meetings, following the provided format, preparing appropriate readings, keeping the discussion focused, and maintaining a welcoming environment for newcomers. The chairperson is also responsible for finding a replacement for the following month and completing the meeting’s basic cleanup and collection procedures.
